9 MILLION EUROS IS THE 2014 HIGHEST NUMBER OF UMH RESEARCH RESOURCES AND FOUNDS THAT IS KNOWN TILL NOW

The memory of Research belonging to the last year 2014 and carried out by the Vice President of Research and Innovation of the University Miguel Hernández of Elche (UMH) and the Office for the Transfer of Research Results (OTRI) reflects a huge increase of the economic resources focused on research. The number of funds reaches 9.324.381,63 euros, about 30 more than in 2013. In digital format this time the Memory 2014 reflects important developments: universite.umh.es/memoinvest/2014

 

  • 4.434.325,25 euros of researchers of the University Miguel Hernández of Elche (UMH) come from the ID competitive;
  • 3.253.747,71 belongs to R & D with public and private institutions;
  • 557.000 belong to FEDER founds;
  • 1.079.308,67 correspond to research grants.

 

According to the patents, 10 have been the chosen in 2014 and 137 doctoral thesis presented and defended at the University Miguel Hernández of Elche (UMH). Next to it, the number of scientific articles in national and international journals and publications exceed 1,000.

 The UMH Research resources (about 30% more than in 2013) are justified by the increase of 15 of the funds of R & D competitive captured last year and mainly come from funds of R & D contracted in 2014. Duplication of funds over the previous year shows that UMH has achieved a turnover of €3.253.747 in 2014 compared to the €1.745.127 in 2013. All of them hired through public and private entities.

The number of doctoral thesis read at UMH has also suffered an increase in the past year, that comparatively, duplicate the reading in 2013. About 137 thesis have been defended the last academic year facing the nearly 71 in 2013.
