THE 7TH CYCLE OF CINEMA AND HEALTH UMH LEADS THE PATIENT AS MAIN FIGURE ON MAY 6 AT CAMPUS OF SANT JOAN
The last Wednesday, May 6 took place at5:00 pm. a new Cycle of Cinema and Health UMH organized by the Group of Students and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche (Spain), in collaboration with the Vice-rectorship of University Culture. On this occasion the activity focused mainly on the figure of the patient. The Salón de Actos of Severo Ochoa building of Campus of Sant Joan d’Alacant (Spain) was the venue to host the viewings.
La film Dallas Buyers Club (2013), directed by Jean-Marc Vallée was chosen during the day, where highlights an extraordinary interpretation close to the reality of patients as of Ron Woodroof. The main character and study of VII Cycle of Cinema and Health UMH, is a drug addict cowboy and obsessed with women, representing a patient of atypical AIDS during the 1980s.
Pablo Flores, graduate in Translation and Interpretation, together with specialist in Internal Medicine and founder of the Committee for Citizen anti-AIDS of la Rioja (Spain), Francisco Antón, will lead the 7th Cycle of Cinema and Health UMH.
